Is Your Baby a Budding Beethoven?

When I first saw these gorgeous toy pianos made by Schoenhut it reminded me of the one "Schroeder" played in the "Snoopy" cartoons. These really are too nice to be described as a toy. They have a beautiful wooden case, a real piano tone and full size piano keys. Some even have working pedals. A much less intimidating starter instrument for a smaller child, and infinately nicer to listen to than one of those tinny sounding electronic kiddy keyboards. They come in black, red, white and pink. To find out more visit www.toypiano.com

"Podee": The Hands Free Feeding Bottle That Eases Colic

The Podee baby feeding bottle is really unique. It's like having another pair of hands. It is basically a normal feeding bottle with the teat attached to a long straw like tube. There is a valve at the base of the teat which prevents back flow so baby doesn't have to suck hard at all. Great for babies who suffer from ear infections and colic. Another plus is that the child can be fed in an upright position. Multiple mums will love the Podee bottle. The podee has also been improved recently by changing the plastic used for the bottle from polycarbonate to a plastic that is BPA Free

A Safer Nights Sleep Thanks to "Safe T Sleep"

This is really a unique baby product. This ingenious item will help you and your baby get a good nights sleep wherever you may be. It is a 100% cotton sleep wrap positioner that fits over the mattress and will safely keep your baby on their backs, which is the recommended sleep position. It also stops the problem of babies wriggling under covers, getting wedged in a corner, or getting their limbs through the bars of their crib or cot. There is no need for a bumper with this. They also make a version that will fit over an adult bed, great if you are staying away from home. Many babies like to feel as if they are being held when sleeping and this will do the job!

Introducing the "Itzbeen"

I recently came across this excellent gadget to help new parents with that new baby brain fuzz. It's called the "Itzbeen" by Coast Innovations. It is a timer that records how long "itzbeen" since baby was last changed, fed, slept or had medication, all at the touch of a button. You can set it to give you an audible alarm when an activity is due. It takes most of the guess work out of why baby is crying. Helpfully it has a clip on the back so you can always have it with you and there is also a nightlite built in so you can check it easily at night. For nursing mothers there is a switch that will remind you which side baby last fed from. These are excellent for parents of multiples, and helpfully it comes in three colours: blue, mint and pink.

You can learn more about it at http://www.itzbeen.com

It is available from Amazon in the US and from
